Creating your account
Creating a MyEx account is free and takes about a minute. You need an account to publish experiences, engage with the community, and earn rewards.
Ways to sign up
- Email and password — fill in your first name, last name, username, email, and a password.
- Google — one tap with your Google account (mobile and web).
- Apple — sign in with Apple (on iOS devices).
You can also tap Explore as Guest in the mobile app to browse without an account — but you'll need to sign up before you can post an experience, like, comment, or earn rewards.
Password requirements
If you sign up with email and password, your password must be at least 8 characters and include an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character (for example !@#$&*).
Choosing your username — read this first
Your username identifies you across MyEx, and it's not freely changeable:
- If you sign up with email and password, you pick your username at sign-up and it is locked permanently — choose carefully.
- If you sign up with Google or Apple, MyEx generates a username from your email. You can change it exactly once, then it locks.
Usernames are 3–50 characters and can contain letters, numbers, dots, underscores, and dashes.
Age requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to create a MyEx account (your date of birth is checked when you add it to your profile).
Agreeing to the terms
Before your account is created — including with Google or Apple sign-up — you'll be asked to accept three agreements: the Terms & Conditions of Service, the Terms of Electronic Financial Service (this covers the rewards wallet), and the Privacy Policy.
Verify your email
If you signed up with email and password, MyEx sends you a verification email right away — open it and tap the link. Your profile shows a verified badge next to your email once it's confirmed, and you can resend the verification email from the app if it didn't arrive. Google and Apple accounts are verified automatically.
Forgot your password?
On the login screen, tap Forgot Password, enter your registered email, and MyEx will send you a reset link. If you signed in with Google, you don't have a password to reset — just use the Google button.
