How to write and submit an experience

آخر تحديث 7/23/2026

An experience on MyEx is your honest, first-hand story about a product or service — told with video, photos, ratings, and words. Experiences are created in the MyEx mobile app.

What you'll need

  • The product or service you actually used
  • A short video of it (required — every experience starts with a video)
  • Up to 5 photos
  • A few minutes to rate it and tell your story

Step by step

  1. Record your video. The create flow starts with the camera: record the product as you show or use it. The video is the heart of your experience — make sure it's clear and shows the actual product.
  2. Add photos. You can attach up to 6 media items in total (your video plus up to 5 photos) and pick one as the cover that represents your experience in the feed.
  3. Write the title. A short, specific headline — up to 100 characters. "Great blender" is weak; "Three months with the X200 blender — still going strong" is better.
  4. Tell your story. Describe what you experienced in up to 500 characters: what you bought, how it performed, what surprised you, and who you'd recommend it to. Detailed, coherent stories get approved faster — very short descriptions are a common reason reviewers send experiences back.
  5. Rate it. Rate the product on a 1–5 star scale across aspects such as Brand, Quality, Practical, Design, Convenience, and Price. You must rate at least 3 aspects (up to 6). MyEx combines them into one overall score out of 5.
  6. Pick a category (optional). Search and drill into the category tree to help people find your experience.
  7. Add product links (optional). Attach up to 10 links to where the product is sold, so others can find it.
  8. Attach a receipt (optional). A photo or PDF of your receipt (JPG, PNG, or PDF up to 5 MB) strengthens the credibility of your experience.
  9. Choose the experience language (for example Arabic or English) — it decides which reviewers and readers see it.
  10. Submit. Your experience is uploaded and goes into Pending Approval.

What happens next

Every experience is checked by a human reviewer before publishing. You'll get a notification when it's approved and live, or if it's returned to you with a specific reason to fix. Approved experiences may also earn a cash reward in your wallet. See How review approval works.

Tips for a great experience

  • Show the real product in your video — packaging, details, and it actually being used.
  • Make your written story match your video and your ratings; reviewers check that they line up.
  • Be honest about the negatives too. Balanced experiences are the most useful — and most trusted.
  • Not ready to finish? Save it as a draft and come back later.
