Community guidelines
MyEx exists so people can trust what they read. These guidelines describe the community we're building — and what our human reviewers hold every experience to before it's published.
The golden rule: first-hand and honest
Share only experiences you actually had, with products and services you actually used. Your video and photos must be your own original footage — not taken from the internet, a store listing, or another creator.
Content standards
Do
- Show the real product clearly in your video and photos
- Write what genuinely happened — the good and the bad
- Give ratings that match your written story
- Choose the category that actually fits
- Keep comments respectful and constructive
Don't
- Post fake, copied, or misleading experiences
- Turn an experience into an advertisement or spam
- Use offensive, abusive, or hateful language (comments are automatically screened for profanity)
- Share other people's personal information
- Misrepresent a product to help or harm a brand
Conflicts of interest
Don't post "experiences" about products you're paid to promote, your own business, or a competitor's — MyEx is for genuine consumer voices, not marketing.
How these guidelines are enforced
Every experience passes a human review before publishing (see How review approval works). Content that falls short is returned with a written reason so you can fix it; serious violations — fake, stolen, or abusive content — are rejected permanently. Comments containing profanity are automatically censored.
Our commitment to you
The same rules protect you as a reader: what you see on MyEx has been checked by a real person against these standards. That's the deal that makes honest reviews possible — and everyone who posts keeps it alive.
