About MyEx
MyEx is a platform for video reviews of products and services, filmed by the people who actually used them. This page explains who runs it, how a review gets published, how we make money and how to reach us.
What MyEx is
A user films a short video of a product or service they used themselves, adds photos, writes what happened, and rates it from 1 to 5 stars on aspects such as quality, design and price.
Nothing is published automatically. Every review is checked by a person before it appears on the website or in the app.
On this website you can browse and read published reviews. Filming and publishing a review is done in the MyEx mobile app.
How a review gets published
Once submitted, a review waits in a queue with the status Pending Approval. A trained auditor who works in the review's own language picks it up and checks the video, the photos, the written story, the ratings and the category.
The video has to be original, filmed by the reviewer, and actually show the product. The star ratings have to match what was written.
A review that passes gets a final sign-off from a supervisor before it goes live. One with fixable problems is returned to its author with a written reason. Fake, copied or abusive content is rejected.
An auditor may fix the title, the wording or the category, but never changes the reviewer's opinion or meaning.
Publishing is not the end of it. Every 15 days an auditor re-checks the buy links and offers on a published review so they stay valid.
A review stays in the language it was written in, and we translate it for readers of other languages. We do not remove a review because of its language.
How MyEx makes money
Many reviews carry buy links and discount codes for the store that sells the product. The auditor who approves the review may add them. These links pass through a MyEx tracking address (my-ex.app/go/) so that a purchase can be attributed to its source.
When you buy through one of these links or codes, MyEx may earn a commission from the store, and the auditor who checked that review earns a share of it.
Commission does not decide what gets published. A review is accepted or rejected on its content, and the rating and the opinion belong to the reviewer alone.
A reviewer may receive a cash reward in their MyEx wallet when their review is approved.
A store or product appearing on MyEx is not a recommendation from us. The purchase itself is between you and the store.
Who checks the reviews
Auditors are commission-based partners, not salaried employees. They apply through the website, prove their identity with an official document, and must be at least 18 years old.
Before auditing anything, an applicant completes the MyEx Academy training. After they pass, the MyEx team reviews the result and activates the account.
Each auditor works only in the languages and dialects they were accepted for, and the quality of their work is evaluated continuously.
