Adding photos and videos

Media is what makes a MyEx experience believable. Every experience includes a real video, and photos help tell the rest of the story.

The rules at a glance

An experience can hold up to 6 media items in total (the video counts as one), and exactly one item must be set as the cover — that's the image that represents your experience in the feed.

Recording a good video

The create flow starts with your camera. Your video should:

• Show the actual product — unboxing, close-ups of details, and the product in use.
• Be original — recorded by you, not taken from the internet or another creator. Reviewers reject copied or stock footage.
• Be clear — decent lighting and a steady hand go a long way. Aim for at least a minute of genuinely useful footage.
• Match your story — what you say in your written description should be visible in the video.

Adding photos

After recording, add up to 5 photos from your camera or gallery. Good photos to include:

• The product from different angles
• Labels, size tags, or specifications
• Results (a dish you cooked, a finished project, before/after)
• Anything you mention in your written story

The cover image

Pick the single strongest visual as your cover — it's what people see first when browsing. You can change which item is the cover before submitting.

Attaching a receipt

Adding a photo or PDF of your purchase receipt is optional, but it's strong evidence that your experience is genuine and can help it get approved.

Common media problems

• "Please record a video" — you can't save or submit without a video; it's the required core of every experience.
• Upload fails on size — compress the video below 100 MB, or images below 5 MB each.
• Blurry or dark footage — likely to be returned by reviewers; re-shoot with more light.
• Someone else's content — experiences with non-original media are rejected. Only upload what you filmed yourself.
